Is your organization, and the people in it, “quietly cracking?”
Is your group moving in the direction you want, and at the pace you want with the engagement you want? Could things be better?
When the folks you rely on lack the skills to achieve organizational goals while remaining aligned with what’s true for them, you have a prescription for burnout, or in current lingo, quiet cracking.
Quiet cracking has its roots in feeling out of control, or indeed having no control, over the things that make work worthwhile: a sense of purpose, value, and future security.
When futility takes hold, organizations crack.
But when staff have the skills to align organizational goals with individual needs and wants, and when tasks are made more meaningful, achievable, and yes, even enjoyable because they track with employee strengths, capacities, and interests, buy-in results.
And buy in? Well, it’s behind ownership, creativity, and a sense of efficacy—the key ingredient lacking in organizations that crack.
What if individuals could create aligned work with the exercise of just three boundary skills?
What if these skills could be taught to anyone, and were particularly appropriate for organizational settings?
And what if your organization’s key personnel possessed these skills and had the ability to share them with relevant others?
Hi, I’m Eva, psychotherapist of twenty-five years, and creator of a new model of wellbeing based on the pursuit of authenticity, called Active Authenticity.
I offer in-person, small group experiential trainings for management level employees, or key stakeholders, looking to revitalize their organization’s enthusiasm, focus, and outcomes by employing the boundary skills needed to create aligned work.
This workshop is offered in both a half and full-day format.
Half-Day Training: The three boundary skills
This session provides an in-depth exploration of three workplace boundary skills. The three skills are then pulled together to exercise the Yes/No strategy, a powerful tool designed to move things forward while respecting individual needs.
Full-Day Training: Integrating the three boundary essentials while generating more ease.
Participants will have more time to master the Yes/No strategy by learning how to generate a range of options that satisfy a Yes/No “counteroffer.” From there, the Hierarchy of Ease is introduced, teaching participants how to build and apply this framework to generate doable, and increasingly satisfying, solutions. The final hour of the workshop is dedicated to integrating these newly-developed hierarchies with the Yes/No strategy to discover multiple options for moving toward goals while enhancing alignment.
These highly engaged trainings draw upon the strategies of ACTIVE AUTHENTICITY and create opportunities for participants to absorb principles of boundary-making and aligned work relevant to organizational settings.
This workshop can be modified, and more deeply supported, to address your organization’s specific needs. Feel free to contact me with details of what you might be looking for, and to learn more about this offering.
What Workshop Participants Are Saying …
“Tonight's presentation was excellent and so validating! We navigate a journey riddled with so many opportunities to face boundaries and unmet expectations. This presentation helped me look at the principles of what adds value to a relationship and what creates a deficit, so the decision to waive goodbye, when necessary, will not be as daunting.” —Damaris A
“I appreciate Eva fleshing out the three skills of the Yes/No strategy as it provides a guide to verbalizing your authentic Yes and your authentic No.” —Patricia M.
“Eva Papp’s talk was very timely. I’ve recently opened my own practice, and although I love speaking with patients, making my “yeses” be “yes,” and my “nos” be “no” is not my strong suit… Being able to offer a firm “no,” with a non-compromising “yes,” is a way to maintain my own sanity, while also providing the colleague, administrator, or patient with something out of the deal as well. It was a very enjoyable talk; she’s an engaging speaker, and I plan to purchase her book. I highly recommend working with her.” —Thomas C.
